FRAME our Vote!

Flat Rock AME prides itself in having 100% eligible registered voters. It is often said that “this is the most important election in our lifetime.” This year’s election is. There is so much at stake when it comes to the future of our democracy. As a part of The AME Church’s Voter Alert Initiative under the auspices of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church Connectional Lay Organization, the AME Social Action Commission (AME SAC), Flat Rock is dedicated to spread the importance of voting, providing voter education, and continuing to register eligible members in our church and community.

FRAME Counts!

Information collected in the census can help us better our communities! Some of the information is used to distribute federal funding to states and local governments, assist federal and state agencies in administering programs, determine Congressional representation and for redistricting. The purpose of the census it to generate an accurate number of people in the states' population."

The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. That funding shapes many different aspects of every community, no matter the size, no matter the location.

Black Agenda

For too long, people in power have conspired to rig the game, forcing Black people to work twice as hard, to barely get half as far in America. We are falling further behind in health and wealth, safety and well-being.
Our future can and must be different. Black communities deserve and demand thoughtful, visionary, policies and practices that make us powerful in every aspect of our lives.

The Black Agenda 2020 urges elected officials and government to:
Make Black people powerful in The Economy, Our Democracy, Our Families, Our Society, Our Communities and The Legal System
